Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Lishui Demonstration Section of the Tram in Nanhai District and the supporting municipal roads was held in Lishui Town. This marks that the second tram line in Nanhai District has officially entered the construction phase.
The starting point of the Lishui Demonstration Section of the Tram Project in Nanhai District is located at Lihu Xincheng Station on the central axis of the planned Lihu New City. The line is laid along the central axis of Lihu New City-Huanzhen North Road-Caochang Industrial Avenue-Liguang Road, and the end point is located in Lihu Henglu Station.
The Lishui tram line has a total length of 9.834 kilometers, of which the surface section is 7.063 kilometers, the underground section is 1.24 kilometers, and the elevated section is 1.531 kilometers. There are 13 stations on the whole line, including 1 underground station and 12 ground stations.
There are 2 subway transfer stations on the line, which are interchanged with Foshan Metro Line 8 at Gangmei Station (tentative name), and interchange with Guangzhou Metro Line 12 at Liheng Road Station (tentative name). The total project investment is 2.186 billion. yuan. It is expected that the long-term line will also be interchanged with Guangzhou Metro Line 6.
In terms of vehicle selection, the train will use hydrogen fuel cell modern trams, which are green and environmentally friendly. At the same time, it adopts steel wheel rail system, 100% low-floor modern tram, with strong climbing ability, small turning radius, flexible line laying method, strong adaptability in urban blocks, and the whole line adopts non-contact net design, which has good landscape effects.
In addition, municipal road projects supporting trams will also be carried out simultaneously, including the Huanzhen North Road Project in Lishui Town (Liguan Road to Foshan First Ring Road) and the Huanzhen North Road Project in Lishui Town (Foshan First Ring Road-Dongxiu) Road) project, the renovation project of Caochang Industrial Avenue and Liguang Road in Lishui Town. The supporting municipal roads are 8.51 kilometers long. The main construction content includes roadbed engineering, bridge engineering, tunnel engineering, lighting engineering, greening engineering and traffic engineering, etc., with a total investment of 2.39 billion yuan.
The Lishui Tram Project is the first tram line in Lishui Town and the second tram line in Nanhai District. The project connects Guangzhou and Foshan organically. It is an important measure for Nanhai District to start a traffic battle, respond to the construction of the urban agglomeration in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and promote the entire city of Guangzhou and Foshan.
