High precision craftsmanship
The Yuxi to Mohan section of the China-Laos Railway is 508 kilometers long and requires 500 meters of long steel rails totaling 1,780 kilometers. All of them are welded at the Huanglongshan Rail Welding Base of the China Railway Kunming Bureau Group in the eastern suburbs of Kunming. Transported to the site one after another to ensure the smooth progress of the track laying construction.

The long rails of the China-Laos Railway are welded from 60N profile rails with a length of 100 meters. After opening, the safety, stability and comfort of the EMU will be higher.
The domestic section of the China-Laos Railway crosses Mopan Mountain, Ailao Mountain, and Wuliang Mountain from north to south, and crosses Yuanjiang, Amo, Babian, and Lancang Rivers. The geological structure along the route is complex, with abundant rainfall throughout the year, dense long tunnels, and different climatic conditions. The large and complex natural environment puts forward higher requirements on the welding quality of the rails and the technical status of the rails.

The rail welding base of China Railway Kunming Bureau Group actively optimizes the production process, increases the frequency of inspections, and ensures that 28 process technical standards such as arc welding, heat treatment and fine grinding are implemented in place, so that all the parameters of the rail welding head meet the design requirements.
