Recently, with a long whistle, a China-Europe express train loaded with textiles, mechanical parts, furniture and other goods slowly departed from the Jiujiang South Station of China Railway Nanchang Bureau Group Co., Ltd., exited through Horgos Port, and headed all the way In Kazakhstan, goods are distributed and transferred to various parts of Central Asia through Atenkori Station. This is the first China-Europe train in northern Jiangxi in history.

It is understood that this train transports 50 containers with a total weight of 1,200 tons and a total value of about 15 million U.S. dollars. After being assembled in groups at Jiujiang South Station, the train will be transported out of the country by rail. The whole journey is more than 4,500 kilometers, and it takes about 7 days. Compared with the original, the transportation time and cost are greatly reduced.

The launch of the China-Europe Express Train has effectively leveraged Jiujiang’s geographical advantages and added an international channel for trade between the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and the countries along the Belt and Road. Huang Yi, deputy head of freight at Jiujiang South Station of the Jiujiang Depot of South Railway, said that starting from September 2021, about 200 containers of container cargo will be assembled and shipped at Jiujiang South Station every month, forming a normal operation.
