Recently, TBEA successfully launched the final batch of 800 kV current transformers customized and developed for the Pakistan Dasu LOT3 Mansera 765 kV substation project. At this point, all 134 transformer devices required for the project have been delivered, laying a solid equipment guarantee for the smooth progress of the key energy projects in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor.

Hardcore technology adapted to extreme working conditions
The LOT3 substation project in Dasu, Pakistan is located in the city of Mansera. It is the first 765 kV substation in Pakistan and also the highest voltage level substation infrastructure in the country at present. For a long time, the power grid in Pakistan has been dominated by voltage levels of 500 kV and below, with insufficient transmission capacity and a prominent power supply gap in the capital and surrounding areas. The commissioning of 765 kV ultra-high voltage transmission lines will nearly double the transmission capacity of the local power grid, while also setting strict standards for the performance and stability of supporting power equipment.
TBEA has undertaken the research and production tasks for 65 capacitive voltage transformers and 69 current transformers for this project. All equipment complies with international IEC standards and is also compatible with the special technical specifications of Pakistan National Transmission Company, which can perfectly adapt to extreme harsh working conditions such as high temperatures of 50 degrees Celsius and strong ultraviolet radiation in the local summer. Among them, the 800 kV oil immersed inverted current transformer is the first successful landing application of this voltage level equipment in extreme overseas environments in China; The 800 kV capacitive voltage transformer has successfully overcome multiple key technical challenges such as ferromagnetic resonance suppression and transient response optimization, achieving breakthroughs in core performance.
The overall delivery cycle of this project has been shortened by nearly 30% compared to similar imported equipment from overseas, and all equipment has passed the full set of factory tests at once. The core technical parameters, product quality, and delivery efficiency are comprehensively superior to similar European products, demonstrating the hardcore strength of domestic equipment.

Strength out of the circle, deeply cultivating overseas markets
With the high-quality performance and excellent product quality of this project, TBEA successfully won the order for the Islamabad West Substation project on the opposite side of the transmission channel in June 2025, achieving the dual landing of key projects at both ends of the same main power grid and further cultivating the high-end electricity market in Pakistan.
