China Huaneng Group Co., Ltd. is an important state-owned backbone enterprise approved by the State Council. It has been deeply involved in power development, investment and construction, operation and management, power (heat) production and sales, transportation, new energy, energy conservation and environmental protection, and many other fields.

In order to thoroughly implement Xi Jinping’s thoughts on ecological civilization and fully implement the major strategic decisions of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on carbon peak and carbon neutrality, Nanjing and Huaneng Group signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement to promote the Huaneng International Energy Pioneer Zone (headquarters) project. Carry out in-depth practical cooperation and achieve positive results. At present, the project has successfully landed in Nanjing Kirin Science and Technology Park, and key cooperation projects such as the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) International Standards Promotion Center, Huaneng Clean Energy Smart Chain Technology Industrial Park, and Low-Carbon City Research Institute are accelerating.

According to reports, the Nanjing Municipal Government and Huaneng Group signed the "Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Jointly Building China Energy Valley". The two parties will focus on the China Energy Valley project, with the goal of serving the national carbon peak and carbon neutral major strategy, and take the lead in Huaneng International Energy. On the basis of the district, relying on the strong scientific research strength of Nanjing Municipal Government, Huaneng Group and NARI Group and some universities in Nanjing, with IEC and Huaneng Group as the core of the industrial cluster, we will create a highland of production, education and research covering the entire energy industry chain, and energy The source of scientific and technological innovation, the comprehensive demonstration site of energy application and the future city of energy development.

The signing parties will also build landmark projects such as the Innovation (Standard) Achievement Cooperation Zone, China Energy Valley International Energy Demonstration Zone, China Energy Valley Energy Industry Ecological Zone, China Energy Valley Central Business District, etc. The infrastructure investment is expected to exceed 30 billion yuan.
