On the morning of May 27, 2026, the signing ceremony for the EPC general contracting of 2 billion cubic meters/year coal to natural gas between XINYE GROUP and CNCEC SEDIN Engineering Company LIMITED was held in the conference room of Xinye Group in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Wan Zheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of XINYE GROUP, and Li Tianyou, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Manager, and Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Wojiang Clean Energy Company; Zhou Enli, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of SEDIN Engineering Company Limited, and Lian Ziren, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, attended the signing ceremony. Gao Yunpu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of Wojiang Clean Energy, and Fan Li, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CNCEC SEDIN Engineering Company LIMITED, signed the contract on site on behalf of both parties.

The XINYE GROUP Zhundong 2 billion cubic meters/year coal to natural gas project is a key project for clean and efficient utilization of coal in the autonomous region, as well as a major strategic project for XINYE GROUP's "15th Five Year Plan". The project is located in the Jiji Lake Industrial Park of Zhundong Economic Development Zone, and is invested, constructed, and operated by Xinjiang XINYE GROUP's wholly-owned subsidiary, Wojiang Clean Energy (Xinjiang Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone) Co., Ltd. The total investment of the project is 15.487 billion yuan, covering an area of 148.5 hectares. It will convert 5.34 million tons of coal and 2.019 billion cubic meters of synthetic natural gas annually, and produce more than 200000 tons of high value-added chemical products, achieving the goal of "eating dry and squeezing all" of coal.

The project was launched in March 2024 and was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission on April 13 this year. The project undertakes 5 national demonstration tasks and forms 6 industry demonstration highlights, comprehensively realizing the large-scale process, localization of key equipment, intelligent production control, and independent core technology. It plays an important supporting role in accelerating the construction of Xinjiang's energy and resource strategic guarantee base and serving the overall national energy security. After the completion of the project, it is expected to generate an annual revenue of 5.146 billion yuan, a total annual profit of 1.6 billion yuan, and pay various taxes and fees of 700 million yuan annually, directly driving employment for more than 1200 people. Natural gas will be connected to the West East Gas Pipeline Network through the Zhundong Export Pipeline, injecting solid momentum into enhancing the country's natural gas supply guarantee capability and optimizing the national energy structure.
