Recently, the feasibility study reports for the first and second phases of the East Lake Park (Phase II) project in Fuzhou Binhai New City have been approved by the Changle Development and Reform Bureau.

Among them, the first phase of the Binhai New City East Lake Park (Phase II) project has a construction area of approximately 103849 square meters, with a total estimated investment of 168 million yuan and a construction period controlled at 24 months. The construction area of the second phase of the project is approximately 69973 square meters, with a total estimated investment of 108.6853 million yuan. The construction period is controlled at 36 months.

Previously, the first phase of Donghu Wetland Park had been completed. The project is located on the west bank of Donghu Lake, and the construction content includes returning the pond to wet, landscape consolidation, and planting green seedlings, with a land area of approximately 66.9 hectares.

The total planned area of Donghu Wetland Park exceeds 14 square kilometers, with a water area of 15000 acres, which is 1.3 times the area of Xixi Wetland in Hangzhou and 1.6 times the water area of West Lake in Hangzhou. The Donghu Wetland has superior hydrothermal conditions and abundant biological resources, making it a natural landscape area with both coastal and lakeside wetland characteristics.

Next, the Donghu Wetland Park will enter a maintenance period, gradually restoring the ecological service function of the wetland through a natural and artificial approach, forming a more complete wetland ecosystem.Editor/Zhao E
