On April 28, 2024, the Shanghai Large Machine Section Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Project undertaken by the China Railway 10th Bureau officially started construction, marking that the China Railway Shanghai Bureau Group has taken an important step in the independent development of new energy projects in the Shanghai area.

The project was constructed by Shanghai Railway Economic Development Co., Ltd., with China Railway 10th Bureau as the contractor, making full use of the roofs of three existing buildings (structures) in the maintenance section of the large-scale road maintenance machinery located in Baoshan District, Shanghai to conduct photovoltaic module systems. installation. The project occupies a roof area of approximately 14,835 square meters, with a total installed capacity of 2.22 megawatts. Through the development model of self-use and surplus power grid, the average annual power generation is expected to be 2 million kilowatt-hours, which will effectively reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 1,800 tons.

According to the person in charge of the project construction of the China Railway 10th Bureau, the project not only makes full use of mature distributed photovoltaic technology, but also combines Shanghai's abundant solar lighting resources and the open space on the building roof to achieve the goal without occupying scarce land resources. Give full play to the green energy advantages of photovoltaic power generation. This not only helps create an environmentally friendly and resource-saving demonstration project, but also reflects the in-depth practice of the concept of sustainable development.

During the construction period, China Railway 10th Bureau will promote project construction with high quality and efficiency to ensure that the project is connected to the grid and generates electricity as soon as possible. After the project is completed and put into operation, it will further optimize the energy structure and play a positive role in building a green, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system. The successful implementation of this project will not only bring new energy supply methods to the State Railway Shanghai Bureau Group, but also set a new benchmark for the development of green energy in the entire Shanghai region and even the country.Editor/Cheng Liting
