As the earliest region in Gansu to develop and utilize green energy such as wind and light, Jiuquan has always been at the forefront of Gansu's development of new quality productivity.

Located in the Beidaqiao Industrial Park in Guazhou County, the Jiuquan production base of Huantai Energy Storage is one of the world's largest single-body all-vanadium liquid flow energy storage equipment production bases. The base is also the northwest production and delivery center of Huantai Energy Storage.

Huantai Group has laid out a full-vanadium liquid flow energy storage industry chain project with a total investment of 10 billion yuan in Gansu, from upstream vanadium resource mining and deep processing, to midstream electrolyte preparation, energy storage equipment manufacturing, and downstream new energy power station investment and energy storage system sales. Five major sectors have been built, including the Jiuquan production base of Huantai Energy Storage, the Wuyishan vanadium mine in Dunhuang, the electrolyte supply center, the shared energy storage power station, and the Guazhou 100MW wind power project.

The Huantai Energy Storage Jiuquan Production Base covers an area of more than 60,000 square meters and has an annual production capacity of 100 megawatt-level vanadium battery equipment. It has core areas such as production, assembly, and testing of battery stacks, electrolytes, key materials, and energy storage system integration. It has introduced modern production lines that represent the industry's leading level, with a high degree of automation and low energy consumption. It has the ability to develop, produce, assemble, test, and deliver the entire system. Li Wenkui, general manager of Huantai Industrial Guazhou Co., Ltd., introduced that the base started construction in May 2022 and was officially put into production in May 2023. It has been included in the list of enterprises above designated size.
