In the wave of energy transition in North America, a super order covering several years has quietly settled. Ford Energy, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company, has just finalized a five-year framework agreement with the North American Power Solutions division of the French power group - a grid level energy storage system of up to 20GWh will be continuously transmitted to various parts of the United States. According to the agreement, the North American Power Solutions Division of French Electric Power will purchase up to 4GWh of DC energy storage cabinet battery energy storage systems annually within five years, with delivery starting in 2028. Ford Energy will become its core supplier for grid level energy storage projects in the United States. Both sides emphasized that the stability of the supply chain and localized production are the cornerstones for this cooperation to be achieved. Ford Energy's energy storage systems are all manufactured in the United States, with full traceability from raw materials to finished products, which is crucial for grid projects that pursue long-term stable operation.

Technical advantages of 512Ah battery cells

Ford Energy's DC energy storage cabinet adopts a standardized 20 foot container design, with a single rated capacity of 5.45MWh and equipped with 512Ah lithium iron phosphate square cells. The system supports two discharge configurations of 2 hours and 4 hours, with a working DC voltage range of 1040 to 1500 volts, and is equipped with an integrated liquid cooled temperature control system.
