The terminal will adopt a butterfly arrangement, consisting of 1 working platform, 6 docking piers, 6 mooring piers, main approach bridge and torch platform, with a designed throughput of 6 million tons/year and a designed berth passing capacity of 625 tons/year.

According to the staff of the Maritime Safety Bureau of Yangshan Port, the construction location of the project is in the shallow waters between the LNG terminals built and operated on both sides and the oil storage and transportation terminals. The construction waters are narrow and close to the main navigation channel of Yangshan deep-water Port with complex navigation environment. The construction also involves piling vessels, lifting vessels and different routes, and the material transport vessels with long voyages, making the construction more difficult. High security risk.
