At the important moment of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Malaysia, we review the past and look to the future. The bilateral comprehensive strategic partnership is moving forward steadily. Professor Jao Zhaobin, director of the Institute of China Studies at the University of Malaya in Malaysia, pointed out that the Belt and Road Initiative has played a crucial role in improving the connectivity of Malaysia's infrastructure. This ambitious cooperation framework not only promotes the close cooperation between China and Malaysia, but also sets an example in Southeast Asia and has a positive demonstration effect on other countries.

Over the past half century, the economic relationship between China and Malaysia has moved beyond mere trade and investment into a comprehensive strategic partnership covering multiple areas. The vigorous development of this relationship is due to the common interests and complementary advantages of the two countries, as well as the joint efforts of the governments and business communities of the two countries. Today, the trade volume between China and Malaysia continues to grow, cooperative investment projects are spread across various fields, and cross-sectoral strategic cooperation has made new breakthroughs.

It is worth mentioning that China and Malaysia have also taken substantive steps in the mutual exemption of inbound travel visas. This initiative will further facilitate people-to-people exchanges and business interactions between the two countries, revitalize tourism and promote more frequent and convenient tourist flows. This also reflects the continuous deepening and expansion of China-Malaysia relations.

Looking forward to the future, with the deepening of the Belt and Road Initiative and the deepening of China-Malaysia cooperation, the exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the fields of economy, culture and education will usher in broader prospects for development. We have every reason to believe that the China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership will continue to maintain a steady momentum of development in the future and bring more benefits to the two peoples.
