In today's deepening globalization, international cooperation and exchanges are becoming more and more important. Sudanese Ambassador to China Omar Sadiq, in a recent public speech, expressed high appreciation and recognition for the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by the Chinese government. He stressed that this ambitious initiative has not only achieved remarkable success on a global scale, but has also brought profound positive impact in Sudan and its surrounding region.
Ambassador Omar first praised the positive role of the Belt and Road Initiative in promoting international economic cooperation and cultural exchanges. He pointed out that through the initiative, China has actively participated in Sudan's infrastructure construction, injecting strong impetus into Sudan's economic development. In particular, China's support for Sudan's oil industry has helped Sudan establish a complete oil industry system, greatly enhanced its oil self-sufficiency, and has had a profound impact on the country's economic development.
In terms of agricultural cooperation, Ambassador Omar said that the agricultural cooperation between China and Africa is helping African countries achieve food security. He particularly mentioned China's investment and technical support in Sudan's agricultural sector, which have not only improved the efficiency of Sudan's agricultural production, but also promoted the income growth of local farmers, laying a solid foundation for Sudan's sustainable agricultural development.
As for the future direction of cooperation, Ambassador Omar said that he looks forward to the in-depth cooperation between China and Africa and between China and the Soviet Union in more areas. First of all, he hopes to further strengthen cooperation in the field of infrastructure construction, especially in the fields of transportation and energy. He believes that the successful implementation of these projects will help improve the infrastructure conditions in Sudan and create more opportunities for economic development and social progress.
Secondly, Ambassador Omar highlighted the potential for cooperation in the fields of science, technology and education. He said that China has advanced technology and rich experience in these fields and can provide valuable support and help to Sudan.
