Andrew McAree, as the executive principal of Tianjin Haileybury International School, has become an important bridge connecting Chinese and Western education with his outstanding contributions in Wuqing District, Tianjin.
During his working days in Tianjin, Andrew not only devoted himself to school affairs, but also used his free time to travel all over China, feeling very lucky. He recalled that when he first set foot in China in the last century, Beijing Airport had only a two-way road, and Pudong was just a piece of farmland. However, with China's rapid development, he returned to this land again and again, witnessed the country's earth-shaking changes with his own eyes, and sincerely praised this as "one of the greatest stories in China's history."
China's huge potential deeply attracted Andrew, prompting him to work with Chinese educational institutions and partners to jointly explore ways to combine the essence of Chinese and Western education, and to provide students with high-quality transnational education services. He believes that through the integration of Chinese and Western education, talents with global vision and competitiveness can be cultivated.
In the context of the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, Andrew also saw the great role of the transportation network. This network not only makes it more convenient for students from the three places to come to school, but also stimulates the demand of more families for transnational educational institutions. As a leader in the field of education, he is keen to promote the integration of education and technology and help the integrated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.
Talking about his impression of Tianjin, Andrew praised it highly. He believes that this is a vibrant city that retains rich historical and cultural treasures while developing rapidly. The unique charm of Tianjin makes him feel at home and makes him more determined to deepen his education here.Editor/Cheng Liting
