Vietnamese state media recently reported that the high-speed railway construction plan, which had been shelved for many years due to various reasons, has recently been put back on the agenda by the Vietnamese government. The move shows the Vietnamese government's firm determination to upgrade the country's transportation infrastructure and boost economic development.

It is reported that Vietnam is currently actively seeking technical support and cooperation from China, hoping to use China's rich experience and strong resources in high-speed railway construction to promote the rapid development of its high-speed railway network. The Vietnamese government believes that cooperation with China will be able to speed up the implementation process of high-speed rail projects and improve the quality and technical level of construction.

Specifically, Vietnam plans to prioritize the construction of two key high-speed rail lines in the northern region by 2030. The two lines will connect the capital Hanoi with China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Yunnan Province respectively, forming an important transportation hub and further promoting personnel exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China. By strengthening transport links with China, Vietnam hopes to attract more investment, technology and tourism resources to boost the economic and social development of the northern region and the whole country.

In addition, the Vietnamese government also said that the construction of high-speed rail will drive the development of related industries, create more job opportunities and improve people's living standards. At the same time, the convenience of high-speed rail will also promote inter-city connectivity, strengthen economic ties and cooperation between regions, and inject new impetus into Vietnam's sustainable development.

To sum up, Vietnam's reactivation of the high-speed rail plan and seeking China's support reflects the Vietnamese government's emphasis on high-speed rail construction and its strategic intention to deepen cooperation with China and Southeast Asia. This initiative is expected to have a positive impact on Vietnam's economic development and social progress. Editor/Xu Shengpeng
