On September 5, 2024, Fujian Province ushered in a milestone green energy project: the official grid-connected power generation of the 100 MW fishery-photovoltaic complementary photovoltaic power plant in Xinghua Bay, Chuangneng Hanjiang. This project is not only the province's first and largest single model of marine tidal flats, fishery and solar complementation, but also marks a new chapter in the integrated development of energy, agriculture and tourism.
When fully operational, the PV power plant is expected to generate an astonishing 120 million kWh per year, which is equivalent to saving about 46,000 tons of standard coal consumption for the earth every year, and effectively reducing 126,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and 15.4 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions, demonstrating excellent energy conservation, emission reduction and environmental protection results.
With a total investment of up to 500 million yuan, the project cleverly uses the innovative model of dual use of one place and complementary fishery and photovoltaic to maximize the use of land resources. In this special sea area, photovoltaic panels shine in the sun, delivering clean electricity to the power grid, and the water body under the photovoltaic panels has become a paradise for fish, realizing the harmonious symbiosis of underwater ecological breeding and green power generation on the water.
In addition, the project is also committed to building a diversified and comprehensive development platform, which perfectly integrates photovoltaic power generation, modern and efficient fishery breeding and eco-tourism, aiming to build a new comprehensive project integrating green energy production, modern agricultural demonstration and eco-tourism, and contribute to the sustainable development of Fujian Province and even the whole country.Editor/Jiang Mingyue
