On October 14th, the unveiling ceremony of China Shipbuilding Group Jiangnan Shipbuilding Middle East Representative Office was held in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. This event marked a new stage of cooperation between China Shipbuilding Group and Jiangnan Shipbuilding Group and countries in the Middle East, and also demonstrated the firm determination of all parties to implement the "the Belt and Road" development strategy.
The establishment of China Shipbuilding Jiangnan Shipbuilding Middle East Representative Office is an important step in China Shipbuilding Group's internationalization strategy. The establishment of this representative office aims to strengthen multiple services such as international market research and market development, focus on value creation, leverage regional advantages, improve after-sales service levels, and deepen customer partnership. Starting from the United Arab Emirates, China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation will comprehensively understand the needs of neighboring countries, explore market opportunities, further promote cooperation between China and the Middle East in the fields of energy transportation and marine equipment, achieve mutual benefit and win-win results, and jointly contribute to the global energy market and economic development.
At the unveiling ceremony, multiple shipowners, classification societies, and intermediaries from the Middle East and North Africa region gathered together to witness this important moment. Jia Haiying, Chief Accountant of China Shipbuilding Group, Xiao Wenlin, General Manager of Jiangnan Shipbuilding, and Tan Junyao, First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in the United Arab Emirates, delivered speeches. They all expressed that the establishment of the China Shipbuilding Jiangnan Shipyard Middle East Representative Office will provide a more convenient and efficient communication channel for cooperation between the two sides, and also create more opportunities for Chinese enterprises to strengthen communication and exchanges with governments and enterprises in the Middle East region.
After the unveiling ceremony, Jiangnan Shipbuilding renewed the construction contract for two 93000 cubic meter Very Large Liquid Ammonia Carriers (VLACs) with AW Shipping, a joint venture between ADNOC L&S and Wanhua Chemical Group. These two new ships will adopt the fourth generation VLGC boutique ship derivative design (Panda 93A) independently developed by Jiangnan Shipbuilding, which is currently the world's largest liquid ammonia transport ship. This ship type is not only suitable for long-distance transportation of green ammonia, but can also be loaded with liquefied petroleum gases such as propane and butane, reflecting the leading technological advantages of Jiangnan Shipbuilding in the field of green energy transportation.
The signing of this contract renewal further consolidates the cooperation foundation between the two parties in the field of low-carbon energy transportation and provides new impetus for future energy transformation. Jiangnan Shipbuilding will continue to take the Middle East representative office as a new starting point, strengthen cooperation with oil and gas companies, shipping companies, and other countries in the Middle East, increase research and development investment, and provide customers with high-quality products and services.
The establishment of China Shipbuilding Group Jiangnan Shipbuilding Middle East Representative Office and its cooperation progress with Middle Eastern enterprises not only reflect China Shipbuilding Group's firm steps in internationalization strategy, but also demonstrate its strong strength and technological advantages in energy transportation and marine equipment fields. In the future, with the continuous deepening and expansion of cooperation between the two sides, it is believed that more new vitality and momentum will be injected into the energy transformation and economic development of China and the Middle East region.
