On June 9, the first phase of China's largest single fishery-PV complementary project, Jiangsu Lianyungang Dongshang Fishery-PV Complementary Photovoltaic Project, which was contracted by PowerChina EPC, achieved full-capacity grid-connected power generation. This milestone progress marks a solid and important step in the field of clean energy development and comprehensive ecological utilization.

The project is located in Dunshang Town, Ganyu District, Lianyungang City, and its scale is remarkable. It spans 16 administrative villages, covers 464 aquaculture ponds, and has a total installed capacity of 360 MW. As a benchmark for similar projects in China, it innovatively adopts the three-dimensional development model of "water photovoltaic matrix + underwater ecological aquaculture". On the vast 10,000 acres of tidal flats, 138 standardized photovoltaic power generation units are arranged in an orderly manner, forming a composite industrial system of "power generation at the top and breeding at the bottom", which provides a new idea and demonstration for the ecological development along the tidal flats.

From the perspective of energy contribution, the project's full capacity grid-connected power generation is of great significance. The generated green electricity will be continuously fed into the power grid, effectively helping the optimization and adjustment of China's energy structure, further promoting the wide application of clean energy across the country, and contributing to the realization of the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.

In terms of economic benefits and social significance, the project has been fruitful. It is expected to drive the annual income of the surrounding fishery to increase by more than 20 million yuan, which will greatly promote the development of the local economy. At the same time, during the construction of the project, more than 200 local villagers were actively recruited and provided with skills training, so that they could successfully transform into photovoltaic industry workers, and their per capita monthly income increased significantly. After entering the operation period, we will continue to give priority to hiring surrounding villagers to engage in relevant technical positions, truly realizing a win-win situation of industrial development and increasing villagers' income, and building a long-term assistance system.

The full-capacity grid connection of the first phase of the Dongshang Fishery and Photovoltaic Complementary Photovoltaic Project in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province is not only a successful implementation of an energy project, but also a vivid practice of multi-dimensional coordinated development of ecology, economy and society. It has set an example for the rest of the country in the integrated development of clean energy development and rural revitalization, and it is believed that in the future, more similar innovative projects will emerge to jointly promote China towards a green and sustainable tomorrow.(This article is from the official website of Seetao www.seetao.com.
