On July 1, 2025, Xinjiang Heavy Energy Power Development Co., Ltd. announced the bidding candidates for the procurement and installation of the concentrated heat collection system equipment for the 100MW solar thermal power generation project at the northern foot of the Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang. The first bidding candidate was Dongfang Boiler Co., Ltd. of Dongfang Electric Group.

Details of bidding content

The scope of this bidding includes the procurement, installation, and commissioning of mirror field equipment and ancillary materials (including piles, peripheral columns, etc.), technical guidance for the procurement and installation of heat absorbers and ancillary equipment, procurement and installation of materials for assembly workshops, technological research and development, and 2-year maintenance services. Project schedule arrangement

The project plans to start the construction of the mirror field and assembly workshop on July 30, 2025, complete the assembly and production of the first sun setting mirror on November 20, 2025, and complete the installation of the mirror field and enter the subsystem debugging stage on August 1, 2026.
