With the smooth operation of the 750 kV transmission project in Kashgar, Xinjiang, the total length of the 750 kV ultra-high voltage power grid in Xinjiang has reached 15030.05 kilometers, and the largest ultra-high voltage power backbone network in the country has been built, covering an area of about 1.6 million square kilometers. As of the end of July 2026, the cumulative amount of electricity transmitted from Xinjiang has exceeded 1105.8 billion kilowatt hours, reaching 23 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country, providing strong support for peak electricity supply in the central and eastern regions. During the 15th Five Year Plan period, Xinjiang will continue to accelerate the construction of the power grid.
