On August 2, 2025, China's Ambassador to Kenya, Guo Haiyan, and Kenya's Executive Deputy Foreign Minister, Xinoue, took the Monnet Railway train to Nakuru County for investigation and visited the avocado processing factory that cooperated with China. The event was attended by a number of important people, including officials from Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Railway Bureau, Investment Administration and other departments, the county governor of Nakuru, the deputy county governors of Narok and Kajiado, and experts and scholars from Kenya, heads of private sector and Chinese-funded institutions.

Ambassador Guo Haiyan pointed out that the Inner Mongolia Railway is a flagship project for China and Kenya to jointly build the Belt and Road, and it is also a successful example of cooperation between the two sides. China hopes to maintain close communication and coordination with Kenya, do a good job in revitalizing the city by railway, cultivate the Inner Mongolia Railway Economic Belt, implement the zero-tariff measures for African countries, and turn the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries into pragmatic results that will really benefit people's livelihood.

The Kenyan side gave positive comments on Kenya-China relations and the achievements of pragmatic cooperation between the two sides, clearly expressed its willingness to further deepen strategic docking and cooperation in various fields with China, and looked forward to learning from China's development experience and entering the China market, so as to achieve common development and prosperity.
