On August 3, 2025, with a China-Europe train loaded with 55 containers leaving through the Erenhot railway port, the cumulative traffic volume of the China-Europe train middle passage has exceeded 20,000 since it was first opened in 2013.

Erenhot Railway Port, as a key node in the middle passage of China-Europe trains, has shown a significant growth trend in the direction, quantity and frequency of China-Europe trains under the background of the continuous deepening of international economic and trade cooperation in China. Transport goods have also gradually expanded from the initial products such as metals, chemicals, clothing, shoes and hats to high value-added products such as new energy vehicles, electronic products and household appliances.
