China National Chemical Corporation's Seventh Construction Co., Ltd. (CC7) and Hyphen Hydrogen Energy Company have officially signed the FEED and EPC general contract for the 3GW green hydrogen ammonia project in Namibia, with a total project amount of 10 billion US dollars (approximately 72 billion yuan). The project will rely on a 3GW renewable energy generation system and is expected to produce 2.4 million tons of green ammonia annually after completion. It is not only the first large-scale integrated green hydrogen ammonia project in Africa, but also an important benchmark project in the global hydrogen energy field.
In terms of the entire hydrogen energy industry chain, ChemChina has achieved a full chain technology layout and project implementation from hydrogen production, storage and transportation to application. In the field of hydrogen production, Saiding Company's waste gasification technology has built a 30 ton/day pilot plant in Tengzhou, Shandong Province, and Wuhuan Company's waste direct gasification purification technology has successfully produced 99.9% purity hydrogen gas in the Fangshan project in Beijing.

In the storage and transportation process, hydrogen oil technology has been successfully integrated into the Beijing demonstration project, and MCH technology has also achieved long-term stable operation in Tengzhou, Shandong. On the application side, the company participated in the construction of the world's first ambient temperature and pressure hydrogen oil storage and refueling station (Jinshan, Shanghai), the world's largest green hydrogen coupled coal to olefin project (Ordos, Inner Mongolia, with a total investment of 47.8 billion yuan), and the 15000 Nm ³/h green hydrogen alternative coal to oil project in Ningdong, Ningxia. From 2022 to 2024, China National Chemical Corporation (ChemChina) has successively established strategic partnerships with companies such as Shenergy Group, Juhua Group, and China Energy Engineering Corporation (CNEC), comprehensively expanding into the fields of solid waste hydrogen production, green methanol, and hydrogen based chemical engineering, and continuously consolidating its leading position in China's hydrogen energy industry.
