Recently, under the precise operation of on-site workers, the first pair of 500 meter long steel rails were smoothly laid on the sleepers from Cangzhou East Station to Huanghua New Station, marking the beginning of the rail laying work for the entire Shiheng Canggang intercity railway.

The Shihengcang Port intercity railway is of great significance, as it is a key link in the "Four Verticals, Four Horizontals, and One Ring" intercity railway network of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei urban agglomeration. The route starts from Shijiazhuang Station in the west and ends at Bohai New Area in the east, with a total length of 334 kilometers. The Shijiazhuang Hengshui section cleverly utilizes the existing Shiji Passenger Dedicated Line. The railway design has a speed of 250 kilometers per hour, and the entire line is planned to have 11 stations including Hengshui North Station, Wuyi Station, Fucheng South Station, Jiaohe Station, Botou West Station, Wenmiao Station, Cangzhou West Station, Cangzhou East Station, Huanghua New Station, Bohai New Area West Station, and Bohai New Area Station. Cangzhou Airport Station is also reserved, providing ample space for future development.
To ensure the efficient progress of track laying work, the construction party has adopted advanced track laying equipment such as two sets of tracked tractors and long rail pushing devices, achieving simultaneous laying of both tracks. The daily track laying mileage of a single track can reach 6 kilometers. According to the plan, the long rail laying of the entire line will be completed before February 2026.

After the railway is completed and opened to traffic, it will bring significant benefits. It will further shorten the travel time from Hengshui, Cangzhou and surrounding areas to the provincial capital Shijiazhuang, making communication between regions more convenient and efficient; At the same time, it can also improve the collection and distribution system of Huanghua Port and enhance the port's cargo transportation capacity; More importantly, it can better support and serve the coordinated development strategy of Beijing Tianjin Hebei, inject strong impetus into the coordinated development of regional economy, and help build a closer and more efficient integrated transportation network in Beijing Tianjin Hebei.
