Adani Group Unveils $60 Billion Investment Roadmap

Recently, the Indian Adani Group disclosed its long-term investment strategy up to fiscal year 2032 at an investor briefing, planning to invest nearly $60 billion (approximately RMB 428 billion), focusing on expanding renewable energy, power generation, and transmission businesses.As the core enterprise of the group's green energy sector, Adani Green Energy (AGEL) plans to invest $21 billion by fiscal year 2030 to significantly increase its renewable energy installed capacity from 14.2GW in fiscal year 2025 to 50GW. AGEL is currently focused on the construction and operation of large-scale solar and wind power projects, demonstrating significant growth. 

The latest quarterly data shows that its operational installed capacity increased by 45% year-on-year to 15816MW, with new projects including multiple solar, wind, and wind-solar hybrid types.In traditional thermal power, Adani Power plans to invest approximately $22 billion by fiscal year 2032, aiming to nearly double its installed capacity from 17.6GW in fiscal year 2025 to 41.9GW. Concurrently, Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) will invest $17 billion to expand its modern transmission network, with the goal of extending its total transmission line length from the current 19,200 kilometers to 30,000 kilometers by fiscal year 2030.

Financially, the Adani Group has recently demonstrated strong performance.In the past 12 months, the group's consolidated EBITDA exceeded INR 900 billion for the first time, and Q1 FY26 EBITDA also reached a record high.

In terms of international cooperation, Adani Power signed an agreement with Bhutan's state-owned electricity company, Druk Green Power Corporation, to jointly develop the 570MW Wangchhu hydropower project, with a total investment of INR 60 billion. This cooperation not only helps Adani diversify its renewable energy sources but also further promotes cross-border energy collaboration in South Asia. Edited by Xu Shengpeng.
