On October 27, 2025, the annual production of 150000 tons of wind power forgings project by Inner Mongolia Tianbao Wind Power Co., Ltd. officially started construction in Shiguai District, Baotou City. This major industrial project with a total investment of 2 billion yuan marks a crucial step for Baotou City in building a complete wind power equipment manufacturing industry chain.

The project covers an area of 337 acres, with a planned annual production capacity of up to 150000 tons. After completion and operation, it is expected to have an annual output value of over 1.5 billion yuan and create about 500 job opportunities for the local area. Of particular importance is that as a modern wind power flange production base that integrates intelligent production, research and development innovation, and green manufacturing, this project will completely achieve Inner Mongolia's "zero" breakthrough in the production and manufacturing of wind power core components - flanges. Wind turbine flanges are key structural components that connect various sections of the tower, and their localized production will greatly enhance the autonomy and stability of the wind power supply chain in Baotou and even Inner Mongolia.
