Recently, TBEA has once again achieved good news in overseas markets, successfully winning the bid for the Namria 380kV substation project of Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), with a total contract amount of 192 million US dollars (about 1.36 billion yuan). This is also the first EPC general contracting project for power transmission and transformation that the company has won in the Saudi market.
The core content of the project includes the construction of a new 380/132kV substation and the expansion and upgrading of two existing substations in the surrounding area. As a key power hub of the northern Saudi Arabian power grid, it will focus on undertaking the task of collecting and transmitting electricity from local wind power bases after completion, effectively solving the bottleneck of regional clean energy consumption, and providing solid power grid support for the construction of new energy bases under Saudi Arabia's "2030 Vision".

Previously, the high-voltage transmission and transformation market in Saudi Arabia had long been monopolized by international engineering giants, with extremely high entry barriers. Through long-term market cultivation, technological innovation, and continuous docking, TBEA has successfully achieved a role leap from equipment supplier to EPC general contractor. This not only demonstrates the international competitiveness of China's power transmission and transformation technology, but also opens up vast space for Chinese enterprises to participate in the construction of the Middle East power grid and new energy supporting projects.
It is understood that the project will rely on the full industry chain advantages of TBEA in the field of power transmission and transformation, integrate core equipment research and development, engineering design, construction and other integrated service capabilities, and strictly follow the high standard technical specifications and environmental protection requirements of Saudi Electricity Company. The project team will optimize the layout and equipment selection of substations based on local climate conditions and power grid characteristics, adopt intelligent control systems and high-efficiency energy-saving equipment, ensure that the project has the core advantages of high reliability and low operation and maintenance costs after completion, and help Saudi Arabia build a more stable and efficient modern power grid system.

This winning bid is not only an important milestone for TBEA's overseas market expansion, but also another example of China Saudi Arabia energy cooperation. With the continuous promotion of Saudi Arabia's "2030 Vision", the demand for new energy development and grid upgrading is becoming increasingly urgent. TBEA will take this project as an opportunity to further deepen cooperation with customers in the Middle East, actively participate in more grid infrastructure and new energy supporting projects, promote China's power transmission and transformation technology and standards to go international, and inject Chinese strength into global energy transformation and sustainable development.Editor/Bian Wenjun
