On December 20, 2025, Zhang Chuanwei, Chairman of Mingyang Group, held talks with Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of Vingroup, a well-known Vietnamese enterprise, in Hanoi, Vietnam. Both parties have reached a consensus on strategic cooperation in Vietnam and the global market, and signed a 2GW wind turbine ordering agreement. Based on this agreement, both parties will fully leverage their respective advantages and work together to develop wind power projects with a total scale exceeding 20GW worldwide.
Vingroup is the largest private comprehensive enterprise group in Vietnam, involving multiple industries such as technology, industry, real estate development, green energy, healthcare, infrastructure, etc. It has the VinEnergo platform under its umbrella, specializing in green energy investment and development.
During this Asia Pacific trip, Zhang Chuanwei visited Singapore, Vietnam and other places, met with several key partners, had in-depth discussions on cooperation, and reached multiple consensus and cooperation agreements, with an intention to place orders of more than 5GW.
As a leading global wind turbine manufacturer and provider of comprehensive clean energy solutions, Mingyang has always adhered to technological innovation and leadership, achieving synergy in creating value throughout the entire lifecycle. During the Beijing Wind Energy Exhibition in October this year, Mingyang released the "Tiancheng New Leader Plan", launching a new generation of medium speed compact semi direct drive platform and the world's first 50MW ultra large floating wind turbine. Through technological innovation, it expands the boundaries of resource development, empowers with AI to improve conversion efficiency, and continuously creates value for customers with the "two highs and one low" concept of "high electricity generation, high reliability, and low electricity cost".
As of now, Mingyang's products and solutions have served over 60 countries and regions, with more than 1900 new energy projects in operation worldwide. The total global delivery of new energy is 131GW, with over 24000 offshore and onshore wind turbines delivered. In Southeast Asia, Mingyang has landed 12 projects in 8 countries, with a total installed capacity of over 5 million kilowatts, and the group's "dual sea strategy" continues to advance.Editor/Cheng Liting
