On March 28, 2026, Gia Lai People's Committee and VinEnergo Energy Co., Ltd. officially signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation, and both parties will jointly conduct investment opportunity research around the "Gia Lai Wind Power Complex" project. This signing is an important measure for VinEnergo to expand its renewable energy project layout, and also reflects Vingroup's firm determination to assist local green transformation and implement sustainable development goals. According to the cooperation agreement, both parties will establish an efficient collaborative mechanism to jointly promote the landing of a leading scale wind power complex project in the region through research and field visits.

The total planned investment for the project is nearly 60 billion yuan

The wind power complex project is planned to be constructed in two phases. The first phase is planned to have a total installed capacity of approximately 2000 megawatts, and the second phase will increase the total capacity to 3000 megawatts after expansion. After completion, the project will form a large-scale clean energy base, providing stable power supply for Vietnam's power grid and effectively supporting the sustained growth of energy demand. The project is expected to have a total investment of approximately 2.1 trillion Vietnamese dong, equivalent to nearly 8 billion US dollars or approximately 58 billion yuan, and will become an important engine driving the socio-economic development of Jialai Province. At the same time, the project has long-term significance in clean energy development, pollution reduction, addressing climate change, and ensuring national energy security.

Government and enterprises work together to promote the implementation of projects

Nguyen Huu Que, Vice Chairman of Gia Lai People's Committee, stated that the provincial government highly recognizes VinEnergo's implementation capability in large-scale renewable energy projects, and will continue to optimize the business environment, simplify the approval process, fully support the pre project research and construction progress, help enhance regional competitiveness, and improve people's well-being. Multi country layout accelerates global energy expansion
