This is the former Eastern Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman Empire, a country spanning across the Eurasian continent; Riding a ferry through the Bosphorus Strait, experiencing the magic of left handed Europe and right handed Asia; The unique geographical location and the impact of different cultures created this country, which is both mysterious in the East and romantic in the West. It is Türkiye.

Türkiye is a republic across Europe and Asia, of which the Asian part contains about 97% of the territory and 87% of the population. The name of the country originates from the Turkic ethnic identity of the late Ottoman Empire, meaning "Turkic people". Istanbul, the largest city, is the only international metropolis in the world that spans two continents. Türkiye has rich tourism resources, such as hot air balloons, paragliders, island tours and odd shaped valleys.

From January 2, 2026, Türkiye will implement visa free policy for Chinese citizens, and can stay for no more than 90 days every 180 days. If you have two weeks, why not follow Uncle Guo's footsteps and explore this country that spans across the Eurasian continent.

Istanbul is a historical city of Byzantium and Constantinople, with almost all attractions concentrated in the European region. The old city is home to attractions such as the Old Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia Cathedral, and Water Palace; The new city features attractions such as Independence Street, Innocence Museum, and Galata Tower. You can take the subway, ferry, bus and other ways to visit this world-renowned city where Eastern and Western cultures blend together, and classical and modern cultures shine together. Strolling through the alleys of the old city, it feels like time and space will take you back to the heyday of the empire.

In Cappadocia, one can experience the ancient cave dwelling lifestyle firsthand, take a hot air balloon ride to overlook the entire valley, or explore the valley where ancient monks lived in seclusion on foot. This is like a magical outer space planet, where the Hollywood blockbuster Star Wars was filmed.

Antalya is the largest and most famous resort along the Mediterranean coast of Türkiye. It has a long coastline, mature holiday facilities, and well preserved ancient Roman city Kalei ç i, surrounded by the shocking ancient theater in Aspendos and the Apollo Temple on the side of the sea. People who like history and culture or plan to spend their leisure holidays can find their love here。

Fethiye is not well-known, but it is quite interesting to talk about its jurisdiction over the Dead Sea and its local gliders. Flying over the blue sea, the highly skilled pilot performs various spinning movements. Registering for a one-day island hopping tour on the beach or exploring the abandoned millennium ghost city, which was once a Greek residence, is a good choice. ‌

Cotton Castle Town is a famous hot spring resort and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Many people wear bikinis when climbing cotton forts, and couples rub white calcified mud on each other's faces. The ruins of Herapolis on the mountain were first built in 190 BC and were a famous healing city of the Roman Empire at that time. The ruins of the grand theater, which could accommodate 12000 people, vaguely show the magnificent scene of that time. ‌

Bodrum, located on the coast of the Aegean Sea, is the birthplace of the Greek "father of history" Herodotus, and the castle on the mountain was built by the Crusaders in the 15th century. The white walls, blue windows, and triangular plum blossoms planted in front of every household's door are quite romantic. ‌

The town of Seljuk is not big, but it is world-renowned for its Ephesus ruins. This used to be the residence of the Greeks and Romans, and the site is six times the size of the ancient city of Pompeii in Rome, well preserved. In addition to the world's oldest brothel, Brothel, what is even more remarkable is the Selsus Library, which is one of the few two-story buildings in Ephesus. Although three thousand years have passed, the stone pillar at the main entrance of the library still tells its past story in the sunlight. ‌

Since the 17th century, Crocus sativus has always been the main post station for Ottoman merchants on the trade route to the coast of the Black Sea. The merchants who come and go have brought great wealth to this quiet town. Therefore, there are also exquisite and beautiful Ottoman buildings. The cobblestone streets still look like hundreds of years ago. This small town has also been included in the The World Heritage List by UNESCO. ‌

Historically, Türkiye has crossed the three continents of Europe, Asia and Africa, and is an important bridge connecting eastern and western civilizations. The country name "T ü rkiye" is derived from the ancient Turkic language. Today, Türkiye has only Asia Minor (Anatolia) and East Thrace in the east of the Balkan Peninsula in its territory. At the same time, because of the regional situation, most tourists only visit in the northwest. If there is time, cities in the east such as Van, Trabzon, and Qanl ı urfa are also worth visiting. From these mottled relics, we will gradually understand the historical disputes between Türkiye's main ethnic groups and Armenians and Kurds for hundreds of years.Editor/Bian Wenjun
