At the annual work conference held by Xiamen Port Management Bureau, a steady annual report card was officially released: by 2025, the container throughput of Xiamen Port will exceed 12.5 million TEUs, reaching 12.5077 million TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 2.06%; The cargo throughput also achieved a positive growth of 211 million tons. What is particularly impressive is that the volume of container sea rail intermodal transportation reached a historical high with 163900 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 26.27%, far exceeding the national average, demonstrating the continuous optimization and strong resilience of the port's collection and distribution system.

Upgrading the service industry and expanding the hinterland network
In the past year, Xiamen Port has actively served the upgrading of regional industrial levels. In terms of special cargo transportation, the maximum individual weight of energy storage containers shipped has exceeded 40 tons and 45 tons respectively, achieving the normalization of super heavy energy storage container shipments and supporting lithium battery exports accounting for more than 90% of the province's total. At the same time, the port continues to extend its service network inland, adding 5 inland cooperation nodes including Macheng in Hubei and Zhuzhou in Hunan, and guiding enterprises to establish 14 inland container pick-up and return points. By opening customized sea rail intermodal routes such as Macheng to Xiamen stone special trains, Wuhan to Xiamen new three goods special trains, Nanchang to Xiamen daily trains, and creating characteristic transportation channels such as Nanping to Xiamen furniture exports and Sanming to Xiamen fertilizer exports, the linkage development between inland areas and ports has been effectively promoted.
Deepen cross-strait integration and enhance channel capacity
Xiamen Port has made significant progress in serving the development of cross-strait integration. Promote the increase of daily schedules for the Xiamen Tianjin Small Three Links route to 24, with 8434 sailings scheduled for the whole year of 2025, transporting 1.74 million passengers, a significant year-on-year increase of 36.89% and 38.84% respectively. In order to facilitate economic and trade exchanges between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait, a new round of support measures for Taiwan's sea freight express has been issued, actively building a distribution center for sea freight express to Taiwan. The annual transportation of sea freight express to Taiwan was 76500 TEUs, a year-on-year increase of 37.07%. Cruise economy recovers, supply services grow
