Bishkek - Vice Chairman of the Cabinet of Kyrgyzstan, Elis Akhubekov, announced the results of the development of the real economy in 2025 at a meeting of the Republic. Data shows that this Central Asian country is entering a peak period of infrastructure construction, with doubled road mileage and housing construction area, injecting strong impetus into high-quality economic and social development.

Road construction doubles, transportation network accelerates extension

By 2025, Kyrgyzstan will have laid over 1545 kilometers of asphalt concrete pavement, which is twice the target of 2024. The state allocated 43.4 billion som for road infrastructure. The Barecki Kochkol railway has been extended to Kochkol station, with a main structure of 43 kilometers built. In August of the same year, the construction of the 150 kilometer Balskoon Biedele highway began, further improving the regional transportation network.

Housing and social facilities go hand in hand

The construction industry is experiencing explosive growth, with a total facility area of 3.5 million square meters built by 2025, compared to only 2 million square meters the previous year. 291 social facilities have been delivered for use, 61 more than in 2024, including 129 schools, 60 kindergartens, 26 healthcare facilities, and 35 cultural and sports venues. According to the "My Home" plan, the government has allocated 40.2 billion som for housing construction, which is twice the amount in 2024, and 80660 apartments are being built in various regions. Strengthening the Development Foundation of Energy and Agriculture

The newly added installed power generation capacity in the energy sector is 213.6 MW, thanks to the replacement of units at the Toktogur hydropower station, the commissioning of 8 small hydropower stations, and the construction of a 100 MW solar power station in Keming District. The total agricultural output value increased from 396.8 billion som to 459.7 billion som, with an additional 4455 hectares of irrigated land, 22 times that of 2024. 40 villages have achieved pure drinking water supply, and over 75000 people have access to safe drinking water.Editor/Gao Xue
