On May 7, 2026, the construction of the offshore booster station and offshore compensation station for the Shenneng Shanwei Honghai Bay Six Sea Wind Power Project, which was reconstructed and constructed by ZHENHUA HEAVY, began. Two offshore platforms, one weighing 3380 tons and the other weighing 1680 tons, were lifted on one shoulder by Zhenhua Heavy Industries.

The Shenneng Shanwei Honghai Bay 6 project is located in the waters near Shanwei City, Guangdong Province, with a site area of approximately 62 square kilometers and a center offshore distance of 33 kilometers. The planned capacity is 500 megawatts, and one 500 kV booster station and one 500 kV compensation station will be built as supporting facilities. The upper modules of the two platforms are both three story building structures, and the construction of the upper modules is the responsibility of Nantong Zhenhua Heavy Industry.

The project industry chain is also worth paying attention to: the lower foundation and conduit frame are manufactured by China Hydropower Fourth Bureau, the EPC general contracting is won by China Energy Engineering Guangdong Institute, the offshore wind turbine is provided by CSSC Haizhuang, and the conduit frame foundation is delivered by Tianshun Wind Energy. Five central enterprises each perform their respective duties and work together to promote progress.
After the completion of the project, the annual transmission of green electricity will be about 1.6 billion kilowatt hours, equivalent to saving over 500000 tons of standard coal. It will further improve the layout of green energy in the Guangdong region and assist in the upgrading and expansion of the clean energy system in eastern Guangdong.
