In April in Hong Kong, the sea breeze blows gently. In the conference room of the Uzbekistan China Economic Forum, Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of the Uzeltechsanoat Association, tightly held the hand of a representative from China Southern Power Grid, with a green charging network blueprint covering Central Asia displayed on the PPT behind him. For Uzbekistan car owners who are worried about the shortage of charging stations, this handshake means that in the future, charging electric vehicles on the streets of Tashkent will be as convenient as refueling. This meeting is not only a dialogue, but also a crucial step for Ukraine to introduce Chinese technology and accelerate the transformation of green transportation.

Hong Kong's policy
This forum is the starting point for cooperation. Yunusov and the Southern Power Grid team have focused on two things: one is to directly establish a production line for electric vehicle charging stations in Uzbekistan, and the other is to promote the implementation of related joint investment projects. After the meeting, both parties quickly signed a preliminary cooperation agreement, clarifying the timeline for technology transfer and project advancement. This means that Ukraine's future charging equipment will no longer be simply imported goods, but locally manufactured products, which will significantly reduce construction costs and create employment.
Urgent situation in Ukraine
The problem of "difficult charging" in Uzbekistan is imminent. According to official data, the country plans to increase the market share of electric vehicles to 10% by 2030, but outdated charging infrastructure is seriously hindering the achievement of this goal. To this end, the Ukrainian government has introduced highly attractive preferential policies: providing charging station construction enterprises with preferential loans with annual interest rates as low as 10%, and even allowing them to obtain land use rights at half price. They urgently need energy giants like China Southern Power Grid, which serves over 270 million users worldwide, to fill this huge infrastructure gap.keywords:The Belt and Road Initiative

Empowering China
The entry of China Southern Power Grid is a two-way journey. For the Ukrainian side, Southern Power Grid not only brings funds, but also mature experience in operating smart grids and charging stations, which can directly solve its technological shortcomings. For the Chinese side, this is an important landing of China's new energy infrastructure technology in the Central Asian market. The cooperation between the two parties goes beyond a simple buying and selling relationship and is a deep output of green energy technology standards and operating models, which will set a model for future green transportation cooperation in Central Asia.Editor/Yang Meiling
