On July 9, 2026, Ambassador to Guinea Sun Yong met with the Director General of Guinea's GDP, Kamala, to exchange in-depth views on strengthening bilateral friendly cooperation.

Ambassador Sun stated that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, practical cooperation between China and Guinea has developed comprehensively and achieved fruitful results. Especially since the beginning of this year, both sides have actively promoted the organic connection between China's 15th Five Year Plan and Guinea's Simandou 2040 strategic plan. China's zero tariff measures continue to inject new momentum into bilateral cooperation. China is willing to closely cooperate with several parties to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and enable the people of both sides to share the fruits of cooperation.

Kamala thanked China for its strong support for sustainable development over the long term, and stated that it will firmly cooperate with China to accelerate the implementation of Simandou's 2040 strategic planning goals, establish a China Desk in the Development Bureau to serve Chinese enterprises as soon as possible, improve investment related laws and policies, and help enhance the level of cooperation between the two countries.Editor/Gong Ziwei
