The wind and snow in Siberia cannot stop the rotation of the wheels, and the streets of Russia are quietly changing scenery. The roads that were once dominated by local veterans have now been filled with the presence of Chinese cars. In the just passed peak sales season, more than half of the popular seats were marked with Chinese characters, and a silent market change is unfolding.

Avtostat, a Russian automotive research firm, released statistical data at the Innovation Industry Exhibition. In June 2026, among the top 15 sales rankings of new passenger cars in Russia, eight seats were occupied by pure Chinese car brands, and locally branded domestic models were not included in this statistical scope. Russian domestic car company Rada has a market share of 24.2% and ranks first in market sales.
The internal ranking of pure Chinese brands is clear, with Haval holding 13.9% of the market share and ranking second; Geely ranks fourth with a 6.5% share; Chang'an ranks fifth with a share of 4.8%; Jetour ranks eighth with 3.0%; Jaecoo ranks tenth with 1.9%; Oumengda ranks eleventh with 1.6%; GAC Trumpchi 1.5% row 12; Tank 1.2% ranks fifteenth on the list. Other brands that rely on domestically produced Chinese models have achieved outstanding results. Russian company Tent produces Chery models, ranking third with a market share of 10.9%; Belgee, a joint venture between Russia and Belarus, ranks sixth with a 4.4% share. Keywords: Chinese automobiles, Russia, Haval

The total number of new car transactions in the entire Russian passenger car market in June reached 116300 units, with a year-on-year increase of 29% and a month on month increase of 5.8%. The market shows a clear recovery trend.Editor/Gong Ziwei
