The CGN Yunnan Baoshan Longyang District 540 MW photovoltaic project group has recently started construction, with a total investment of over 1.87 billion yuan. As the first large-scale project group to be implemented after CGN Yunnan New Energy Company's capital increase, this project marks the acceleration of the transformation of state-owned enterprise mixed ownership reform achievements into clean energy entity projects, and is also another landmark project for Yunnan to fully promote green and low-carbon transformation.

It is reported that the project group is distributed in Yangliu Township, Bingma Township and other areas of Longyang District, Baoshan City, Yunnan Province. It consists of five sub projects: Liuhe 320 MW, Manglong 40 MW, Conggang 90 MW, Sanping 50 MW, as well as Hexi (East), Bingma (South), Wadu, Waige, and Pingchangzi 40 MW. The total installed capacity is 540 MW, and the total area is about 10800 acres. The project group will construct a total of 191 photovoltaic power generation matrices, install 910000 pieces of 710 peak watt monocrystalline silicon N-type double-sided double glass modules, 1688 sets of rated capacity 320 kW string inverters, and build one 220 kV booster station and one 110 kV booster station to achieve centralized power transmission, providing strong support for regional energy structure optimization and clean energy consumption in Yunnan.

This project group adopts the complementary development model of animal husbandry and photovoltaics, organically combining photovoltaic power generation with high-altitude ecological protection, enriching the people and increasing income. According to calculations, after the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected that the annual average on grid electricity will exceed 720 million kilowatt hours, equivalent to saving about 216500 tons of standard coal consumption and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 555800 tons, with significant energy-saving and emission reduction benefits. From 910000 N-type double-sided double glass modules to the complementary development model of photovoltaics and photovoltaics, this project group is not only an energy project, but also a vivid practice for Yunnan to explore the integrated development path of photovoltaics, ecology, and enriching the people.
