The competition for orders in the offshore wind power industry is becoming increasingly fierce, and major enterprises are accelerating their layout to seize the market. On May 26, 2026, Electric Wind Power and Huaneng Jiangsu Energy Development Co., Ltd. officially signed a procurement contract for wind turbines and supporting equipment for the Huaneng Qidong H4 # offshore wind farm project in Shanghai.

The new project has been successfully implemented

The executive representatives of Electric Wind Power and Huaneng Jiangsu have completed the signing ceremony, and the main leaders of the two companies attended the ceremony and witnessed the entire signing process. The contract amount is approximately 781 million yuan, with an installed capacity of 308MW, including 28 11MW wind turbine units. The project site is about 30 kilometers offshore, and this is also the third offshore wind turbine order won by Electric Wind Power this year.

Huaneng Qidong H4 # offshore wind farm is located in the offshore waters of Qidong, Nantong, Jiangsu, with an offshore distance of about 30.2 kilometers. The site is triangular in shape and covers an area of about 34 square kilometers. The seabed elevation of the sea area is between -18 meters and -9.45 meters. The project is equipped with 28 11MW wind turbines, with an impeller diameter of 252 meters and a hub height of 143.5 meters. The turbines can meet the IEC Ⅰ C or S typhoon resistance standards. At the same time, a 220kV offshore rising voltage station, an onshore centralized control center, nearly 40 kilometers of on-site power collection lines, and over 80 kilometers of submarine cables will be constructed. This batch of 11MW wind turbine units is a mid to high end mainstream configuration in the offshore wind power field in Jiangsu, suitable for local medium to low wind speed sea conditions, with high equipment maturity and strong practicality.

Haifeng's performance skyrockets

This signing has once again refreshed the offshore wind power performance report of Electric Wind Power in 2026. In February 2026, the company successively won orders for multiple large-scale offshore wind power projects in Fujian and Hainan. Combined with the Qidong project, the total number of offshore wind turbine orders in 2026 has exceeded 1.4GW. Data shows that in the first quarter of the year, the average amount of offshore wind power orders for electrical wind power reached 1.434GW, accounting for 55.94% of the total domestic offshore wind turbine orders during the same period, consolidating its leading position in the offshore wind power market.

Creating a new benchmark for scenery

The Qidong H4 # project is not a single offshore wind power project and has unique demonstration value. This project is the first approved project in Jiangsu Province's 14th Five Year Plan for offshore wind power, and also the first demonstration project of integrated offshore wind power and offshore photovoltaics in China. It will be accompanied by the construction of 1.8MW fixed photovoltaics, creating a new energy industry cluster with sea land linkage and wind solar complementarity.

For Huaneng Jiangsu, the implementation of this project further consolidates its advantage in offshore wind power in Jiangsu and forms a contiguous development pattern with the already built sea land wind power projects in the region, with significant advantages in scale development. Deepen long-term cooperation

The signing specifications are quite high, and the senior management of both parties witnessed the signing and conducted in-depth discussions, focusing on communication and exchanges in multiple fields such as offshore wind power development, deep sea resource utilization, and wind power aftermarket operation and maintenance. Both parties stated that they will take this cooperation as a starting point, continue to expand the dimensions of cooperation, and deeply work together in new energy project construction, core equipment research and development, industrial chain layout, and other aspects to promote the implementation of more cooperation results. In 2026, there will be a high concentration of offshore orders for electrical and wind power, relying on a complete wind turbine product matrix and precise market layout. This also confirms the accelerated landing of the offshore wind power industry in 2026, with a large number of planned projects entering a new stage of procurement and delivery.Editor/Gong Ziwei
