The Asia Europe Express is an upgraded version of the original ASEAN Express, leveraging the core advantages of Chongqing's transportation hub and integrating high-quality logistics resources from China Europe freight trains and the Western Land Sea New Corridor. The route extends westward to the core regions of Central Asia and Europe, northward to the Russian Far East, and southward to connect the Indochinese Peninsula and ASEAN countries, weaving a comprehensive cross-border logistics network.

Currently, the Asia Europe Express has achieved normalized two-way transportation, opening three core trunk lines from Chongqing to Duisburg, Germany, Moscow, Russia, and Almaty, Kazakhstan, radiating to more than 40 overseas logistics nodes on the Eurasian continent. The total transportation distance of the route ranges from 10000 to 13000 kilometers, with a stable transportation cycle of 20 to 25 days, creating a two-way flow, efficient and stable international logistics artery, further consolidating Chongqing's comprehensive hub strategic position in connecting the three major markets of Europe, China, and ASEAN.

Data shows that from January to April 2026, the shipping volume of the Asia Europe Express will increase by 69% year-on-year, and the transported goods will continue to be abundant, covering hundreds of categories such as automobiles and parts, medical equipment, cold chain food, etc. The single box cargo value of the train is as high as 700000 yuan, which is 2 to 3 times that of the Western Land Sea New Corridor and the China Europe (Asia) ordinary train, demonstrating strong market vitality and broad development prospects.
