The key transmission channel of China's "West East Electricity Transmission" - Datong Huailai Tianjin Nante High Voltage Project, completed the aerial deployment of 48 wires in Yutian County, Tangshan, Hebei Province on June 2, marking the project's entry into the comprehensive line laying stage. After the project is put into operation in June 2027, it can deliver nearly 15 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity to the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region annually.

The Datong Huailai Tianjin South 1000 kV High Voltage AC Project is an energy "artery" that connects the Shanxi and Hebei North energy bases with the Tianjin load center. It is planned to be officially completed and put into operation in June 2027. On June 2nd, the important transmission channel of the "West East Power Transmission" completed key construction operations and entered the stage of comprehensive line installation.

At the construction site in Yutian County, Tangshan, Hebei Province, 48 wires were successively laid, pulled, and crossed in the air. This construction is carried out on the same Kite high-voltage tower, and two independent transmission lines are simultaneously erected. Originally, one tower only "backs" one line, but now in order to save land and channel resources, one tower can "back" two lines at a time, and each line can independently transmit electricity, doubling the transmission capacity. However, the difficulty of construction and power outage operations has also greatly increased.

Shi Kai, Deputy Director of the Jibei Electric Power Construction Department of State Grid Corporation of China, said, "This cross construction project has a working height equivalent to 60 floors, and the time is more tight and the height is higher, which has added considerable difficulty to the construction. We have invested twice as many personnel and equipment as usual to ensure the success of this cross construction project

With the completion of this cross construction, the overall progress of the Datong Huailai Tianjin South 1000 kV high-voltage AC project has exceeded half, and it has fully entered the stage of line installation. After the project is fully put into operation, it can deliver over 14.6 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity to the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region annually, effectively promoting regional energy structure optimization and green low-carbon transformation.Editor/Gong Ziwei
