In the early morning of Chengdu International Railway Port, the sound of sirens cuts through the morning mist. On June 9, 2026, a fully loaded Central Asian train slowly drove out of Chengxiang Station, with the sound of the collision between the wheels and the tracks sounding like the drumbeat of a new trade channel. The polyester chips and TV accessories on the car will arrive at Agala Station in Turkmenistan in about 15 days, delivering urgently needed supplies to the local industry.

This train adopts the Central Asia all railway direct transportation scheme. After departure from Chengdu, it leaves the country via Khorgos Port, and goes all the way west to Agara Station. Compared to previous segmented transportation, the total running time has been shortened to about 15 days, greatly improving the efficiency of goods turnover and reducing waiting costs for enterprises.

As early as October 2025, Chengdu International Railway Port opened the China Kyrgyzstan Uzbekistan Turkey international multimodal transport train, which was assembled at Kashgar International Hub Port in Xinjiang and then transported by TIR road to Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. Nowadays, the operation of all railway trains complements the existing intermodal transportation, building a diversified logistics system that combines direct railway and intermodal transportation, allowing enterprises to flexibly choose transportation modes based on timeliness and cost.

With the normalized operation of this train, the number of overseas radiation stations of Chengdu International Train has increased to 137, achieving comprehensive connectivity with the five Central Asian countries. The person in charge of Shenzhen Zhongchuan International Logistics Co., Ltd. stated that Agala is not only an important node in Turkmenistan, but also connects with the West Asian market, and will increase the frequency of shipments on this route in the future.
