Along the Jialing River in Chongqing, old monitoring equipment is being replaced one by one. The deformation data of the dam, which used to require manual visual observation, is now transmitted in real-time to the cloud through a GNSS system. A scientific research and development project focusing on intelligent monitoring of navigation hub dam groups has been successfully implemented in the cascade hubs of Jialing River and Fujiang River in Chongqing, marking a leap from traditional manual management to digital intelligent control in China's inland water transportation engineering.

Two sets of guidelines to fill technical gaps

Hangfa Group, in collaboration with Northeast China Water Resources Survey and Design Company, has developed two guidance documents: the "Guidelines for Safety Monitoring and Management of Navigation and Hydropower Hub Projects" and the "Guidelines for Smart Monitoring Technology of Navigation and Hydropower Hub Group Ship Locks". They have established a standard system that covers all dimensions of management and technology, filling the industry gap in the field of complete smart monitoring technology for the entire chain of cascade navigation and power hub groups.

Satellite monitoring replaces human visual inspection

The project selects the demonstration application of GNSS deformation monitoring technology for the Fujinba Navigation and Hydropower Hub, and sets up automated deformation monitoring demonstration stations. Monitoring data can be transmitted in real-time and automatically analyzed, completely replacing the previous manual visual observation mode, significantly improving monitoring efficiency and accuracy. Smart platform realizes risk warning

The project integrates multidimensional monitoring data and integrates multiple regression algorithms to build a hub safety warning indicator system and prediction model. It has completed pilot applications in two major hubs, Caojie and Fujinba. The system can automatically identify structural abnormalities and deformations and implement graded warnings. The integrated intelligent monitoring platform realizes real-time data collection, intelligent analysis, and hierarchical warning push full process control.Editor/Gao Xue
