Starting from August 8, 2026, the international passenger route from Kashgar, Xinjiang, China to Huzhande, Tajikistan will operate more frequently, with the frequency of flights increasing from 1 to 2 per week. This is the second international passenger route encrypted in Kashgar this year.
The Kashgar Air Port Comprehensive Service Center provides pictures. This route is operated by Chengdu Airlines and made its maiden flight on June 7, 2024. It is the first Central Asian route launched by Chengdu Airlines with Chinese made C909 aircraft, and also the first international passenger route opened by domestic civil aircraft in Xinjiang.
Since the beginning of this year, Kashgar has continued to expand its international airline network and enhance its regional aviation hub function. At present, Kashgar Leining International Airport's regular international passenger routes can reach neighboring countries such as Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Pakistan. As of now, the operational quality and efficiency of Kashgar Air Port routes have steadily improved, and Kashgar's hub function of connecting domestic and radiating to Central Asia continues to strengthen.Editor/Min Jing
