Nikita Kondratiev, Director of the Multilateral Economic Cooperation and Special Projects Department of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, stated that as demand grows, China and Russia are rapidly increasing their air services.

Kondratiev told reporters at a press conference of the Russian Tourism Industry Alliance, "Everything depends on demand. Correspondingly, our aviation regulatory authorities - both Russian and Chinese - are very quickly implementing the business community's request to increase the number of flights

According to him, there are currently 277 weekly flights operating between China and Russia. Kondratiev also pointed out that the demand for foreign tourists, primarily Chinese citizens, in the Russian Far East, Murmansk Oblast, and Novosibirsk is growing. He added, The situation in the central region is uneven: taking Moscow Oblast as an example, the growth rate is about 2% to 3%. However, the main growth currently relies on the Far East region.Editor/Min Jing
