On August 10, 2026, at the construction site of the Wanjiang Jiangnan Emerging Industry Concentration Zone, the first engineering drilling rig slowly drilled the first pile foundation of Galactic Energy's industrialization base for producing 24 reusable liquid launch vehicles annually. The distant sound of freight ships along the Yangtze River coastline could be faintly heard, and beside them was the soon to be erected aerospace manufacturing plant. From commercial aerospace laboratory drawings to industrialization hotspots along the Yangtze River, the mass manufacturing process of reusable rockets by Chinese private enterprises officially pressed the accelerator button on this day.
Anchor batch manufacturing target for project construction
This project is led and implemented by Anhui Galactic Energy Equipment Technology Co., Ltd., with a total investment scale of 1.5 billion yuan. It is a landmark industrialization project to be promoted in the commercial aerospace field of Anhui Province in 2026.

The project planning and construction covers the entire R&D and manufacturing process of reusable rockets, including the R&D center for reusable rocket engine technology, the second phase of the liquid rocket assembly production line, the second phase of the Cangqiong engine assembly production line, the reusable rocket power system test bench, the reusable engine turbine pump hydraulic test bench, and the six core areas of the supporting aerospace research base.
Unlike the traditional small batch customization model in aerospace manufacturing, this project has aimed to achieve a large-scale production capacity of 24 reusable liquid launch vehicles per year from the planning stage. In the first half of 2026, the number of domestic commercial space launches increased by 47% year-on-year, and the market demand for reusable rockets exceeded 60% for the first time. The industry's demand for mass manufacturing capabilities is unprecedentedly urgent.
After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of 1.2 billion yuan and an annual tax contribution of 50 million yuan, directly filling the production capacity gap in the field of bulk assembly of reusable liquid rockets in the Wanjiang region. Previously, Galactic Energy's Ceres series rockets had completed consecutive successful launches, and the cumulative ground test time for reusable engines in the sky exceeded 1200 seconds. The maturity of core technology has fully met the requirements for industrial landing.
Industrial agglomeration activates new quality productivity
After the project is implemented, it will directly enhance the R&D, manufacturing, and mass production capabilities of Galactic Energy's reusable liquid launch vehicles, and at the same time, make a key leap in extending and strengthening the commercial aerospace industry chain in the emerging industry concentration area of Wanjiang Jiangnan.

Previously, a group of aerospace supporting components and high-end precision manufacturing enterprises had already gathered in the concentrated area. The landing of this leading project will directly drive upstream and downstream supporting enterprises to gather in the park, forming a complete industrial closed loop from engine core component manufacturing, rocket assembly integration to power system testing. In 2026, the added value of high-end equipment manufacturing industry in Anhui Province increased by 19% year-on-year.
