On June 13, 2026, the first phase of the 6.5GWh sodium ion battery project of CHIL WEE Group Anqing Chaoren Energy was successfully launched in Yingjiang Economic Development Zone, Anqing City.

Clear project investment capacity

The overall investment of the project is 3.5 billion yuan, with a planned total production capacity of 6.5 GWh and an area of 324.5 acres. The first phase of production plans to have a capacity of 2GWh for energy storage and power sodium ion batteries, covering an area of 160 acres, with an estimated annual output value exceeding 500 million yuan. After all are put into operation, it can produce more than 2 million sets of sodium batteries annually.

Deep cooperation between upstream and downstream

Anqing Chaoren Energy was established in July 2022 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of CHIL WEE, specializing in the research and manufacturing of sodium ion batteries. Its goal is to build a first-class sodium battery industry park in China and help Anhui build a highland for energy storage industry in the Yangtze River Delta. In May 2025, the company signed a five-year cooperation agreement with Sichuan Baisige New Materials to purchase over 30000 tons of negative electrode materials annually to ensure production capacity.
