On June 21, 2026, Anhui's green power company held the transmission rights permit for the first time and crossed the two major systems of State Grid and Southern Power Grid, entering the production workshop of BASF's integrated base in Guangdong. This is the first green power transmission rights market-oriented transaction in the country, and also the first transaction for the Yunxiao DC channel since the transmission rights transaction began on June 1st.

One pass to clear cross provincial green power congestion points

Yunxiao DC is a key channel connecting the two major power grids. In the past, photovoltaic and wind power in Anhui were mainly consumed within the province. Now, by bidding for the right to use transmission lines, enterprises are able to bring green power all the way south. In the first transaction, a total of 113 market entities from Anhui and Guangdong participated, with a transaction volume exceeding 20 million kilowatt hours. 68 new energy enterprises and 1 virtual power plant in Anhui have applied for an intended electricity output of 220 million kilowatt hours, and the competition is very fierce. According to data from Guangzhou Electric Power Trading Center, the utilization rate of Yunxiao DC channel reached 100% in late June.

Channel utilization rate is fully utilized

This mechanism separates pricing and synchronous trading for roads and goods, requiring companies to pay for electricity and bid for occupying channels. The scarcity of channels is reflected through prices, with prices naturally increasing during peak hours and resources automatically flowing to the areas with the most urgent demand. The National Development and Reform Commission has set a price limit range of 0.0256 to 0.1 yuan per kilowatt hour for transmission rights. The cost of purchasing transmission rights by enterprises is fully used to offset the capacity electricity bills borne by the two provinces, and is returned to industrial and commercial users on a monthly basis.
