At the side event of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum, a highly anticipated meeting has just ended. Uzbekistan's economic and trade officials and CAMCE Chairman Wang Bo held hands tightly, and the two sides reached a new consensus on deepening cooperation in green infrastructure.

Special Meeting of Senior Officials from Government and Enterprises

In June 2026, Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, Kudlatov, personally met with the CAMCE delegation. Both parties focused on reviewing the implementation progress of existing solid waste power generation projects and delved into the possibility of new cooperation in the fields of energy, environmental protection, and water resources management. This meeting is closely related to Uzbekistan's national sustainable development agenda, aiming to further strengthen the bilateral strategic partnership between China and Ukraine by introducing foreign investment and technology.

The gap in green infrastructure is highlighted

Uzbekistan is accelerating the low-carbon transformation of its overall infrastructure, with solid waste resource utilization and water-saving water management becoming key areas of national support. However, there are shortcomings in local engineering technology and investment and financing capabilities, and it is highly dependent on overseas resources. With the relaxation of infrastructure PPP access mechanisms in multiple Central Asian countries, the window for foreign investment to participate in public projects has opened up, providing a broad market space for China Uzbekistan cooperation. Central enterprises fill the gaps in the industry

As a leading foreign engineering company, CAMCE relies on its full chain technological advantages to focus on solid waste power generation and water environment treatment projects. By adopting the PPP model, the Ukrainian side aims to leverage Chinese funds and technology to fill the gaps in ecological infrastructure, reduce municipal operation and maintenance costs, optimize the domestic infrastructure industry structure, and steadily achieve national sustainable development targets.Editor/Gao Xue
