In the afternoon of Ferghana, sunlight shone through the glass windows of the governor's mansion and onto the unfolded planning map. On one side is the Silk Road town with a history of more than two thousand years, and the texture of the streets and alleys is like tangled ancient vines; On the other hand, there is a digital city model brought by Chinese experts, with modern lines and clear logic. The Ferghana region of Uzbekistan and the China Urban Construction Research Institute have reached a consensus on cooperation, and the two sides have conducted in-depth exchanges and docking in areas such as urban planning optimization, infrastructure modernization and upgrading, and regional comprehensive development. This cooperation leverages China's mature urban construction experience, helps improve the quality and efficiency of local urbanization reform, and creates a new situation of cooperation in the field of local infrastructure between China and Ukraine.

Government enterprise docking confirms cooperation

Hailulo Bozorov, the governor of Fergana region, held a special symposium and consultation with the delegation of China Urban Construction Research Institute led by Xue Yuwei. Both sides will focus on in-depth exchanges in core areas such as improving urban planning quality, infrastructure renovation, and regional comprehensive development, and explore the implementation path of cooperation.

The Ukrainian side provided a detailed introduction to the progress of local urban construction reform and expressed a strong willingness to deepen bilateral cooperation; The Chinese team conducts systematic research and analysis on the local economic development, investment environment, and urban construction potential, and plans to implement large-scale modern urban construction projects. Both parties have agreed to establish a special liaison personnel to promote the implementation of the project in stages, and continue to carry out preliminary planning discussions and subsequent cooperation liaison work.

Urgent upgrade of local infrastructure

At present, Uzbekistan is making every effort to promote urbanization reform and urban renewal. As a key development area, the Fergana region urgently needs a scientific and systematic modern urban planning scheme and a sound infrastructure supporting system. The local urban construction technology reserves are insufficient, and there is a lack of experience in implementing large-scale projects. Introducing China's mature urban construction standards, planning system, and engineering construction experience can effectively fill the gaps in urban development and fully unleash the vitality of regional economic development.
