The scorching sun is roasting the Gobi Desert outside Abu Dhabi, and the heat wave is surging on the horizon. As the first shovel of sand and gravel was accurately sent into the foundation pit, this silent desert was instantly awakened. Recently, a joint team led by CCCC and composed of Liuhua Construction and Hualu Company officially kicked off the construction of the West East Pipeline Pumping Station Project of Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. This is not only the symphony of steel and concrete, but also another footnote in the joint construction of the the Belt and Road between China and the United Arab Emirates.

This crude oil transportation channel, with a total length of about 500 kilometers, is like a giant dragon about to take off, spanning the hinterland of the United Arab Emirates. As a key milestone in implementing the 2030 national vision, it shoulders the responsibility of efficiently transporting surplus production capacity from the west to the eastern seaport.

Connecting the East West Energy Corridor

For a long time, the crude oil in the western oil fields of the United Arab Emirates has mainly relied on a single route for external transportation, which has limited strategic flexibility. The construction of the West East Pipeline aims to break through this bottleneck. The pipeline design has a daily oil transportation capacity of up to 1.5 million barrels, and after completion, it will completely connect the Ren Du two veins between the western oil fields and the eastern export terminals. This is not only a physical connection line, but also an economic lifeline that will greatly enhance the UAE's voice in the global energy market, build a solid redundant defense line for crude oil exports, and effectively avoid the risk of supply disruptions caused by geopolitics.

Building a pipeline powered heart

If the continuous pipeline is a blood vessel, then the pump station that started construction this time is the heart of this energy artery. The project integrates a high-power booster pump group, a high-sensitivity intelligent self-control system, and a complex electrical process pipeline network. Working in the heart of the desert, builders not only have to fight against temperatures as high as 40-50 degrees Celsius and sandstorms, but also have to overcome rigorous technical integration challenges. The CCCC team has abandoned traditional chemical construction thinking and instead adopted high standard operating methods that are suitable for long-distance pipelines, ensuring that every screw meets the safety and environmental regulations of the UAE, and ensuring the strong beating of this heart through refined management and technological innovation.keywords:Foreign construction news network

Expand overseas business territory

The implementation of this project marks a magnificent turn for CCCC in the international engineering contracting market. In the past, enterprises were well-known in the field of chemical park construction. Now, they have successfully entered the high-end track of oil and gas long-distance energy infrastructure construction, achieving a breakthrough in the business field. This is not only an expansion of the business map, but also another powerful endorsement for Chinese construction brands in the Middle East market. With the deepening of pump station pile foundations, CCCC is transforming its technological advantages into practical contributions to regional energy security, helping to ensure the stable operation of the global energy supply chain.Editor/Yang Meiling
